After a night of insomnia, I finally woke up to board the plane with my girlfriend to the wonderful Thessaloniki. We arrived this evening so there wasn’t much time to explore the city. Therefore we took a taxi straight to the loft.
First impressions of the city were really bad as we drove through the “ghetto” parts. I think we both expected it to be cleaner and prettier. We saw a cool mural tho, so that was exciting. But, once arrived, we were researching the internet on things to do and we found some cool things to do and see over the next couple of days.
Entering our loft, we were quite disappointed. It seemed much bigger on the Airbnb website than in reality. The building isn’t well isolated -if not at all- so we can hear almost everything coming from the big hallway that has a lot of echo, which makes it unable for me to sleep tonight as I am posting this at 12:45 am. My blanket thief appears to be in a sleeping coma, as she can’t deal with light but she can basically sleep through anything. All things aside, I still think this loft is beautiful. I think we could’ve been of a lot worse.
For a first nighter we went to buy some food in a burger/pitta/pizza place called Porkitto because we were to lazy to cook. Their food was cheap but delicious. We went for a menu deal that included a hamburger with fries, a chicken burger with chicken nuggets in there and a drink and of course lots of jummy cheese. It was only around 5 euros per person.
Anyways! Let’s get this thing posted and try to get some more sleep in this noisy building.
See you guys tomorrow!
Oh, and please enjoy these pictures I took today.
